This project focuses on integrating Kredivo's installment payment feature into an e-commerce platform. The design enhances promotional placement, ensuring visibility and accessibility on key pages such as product, checkout, and special offers. By optimizing the user experience, the goal is to improve transaction convenience while driving sales growth through flexible payment options.

Research Analyst Project

The project aimed to enhance the installment simulation experience for Kredivo users, particularly for premium and essential brands such as Coach, Kate Spade, and Mothercare, where flexible payment options significantly impact purchasing decisions. A thorough research phase was conducted, including user behavior analysis, competitive benchmarking, and usability testing, to understand how different customer segments interact with installment simulations and what factors influence their confidence in making purchases.


Kredivo is a popular "Buy Now, Pay Later" (BNPL) service that allows consumers to make purchases and pay for them at a later date. Here are some key points about Kredivo's payment later service:

  1. Functionality: Kredivo enables users to make purchases online or in-store and choose to pay later, either within 30 days or through installment plans ranging from 3, 6, or 12 months.

  2. Approval and Limits: Users must apply for credit through Kredivo, which includes a quick approval process. The credit limit granted depends on the user's creditworthiness.

  3. Interest and Fees: For payments made within 30 days, Kredivo typically does not charge interest. Installment plans may incur interest, although promotional zero-interest installment plans can sometimes be available.

  4. User Requirements: To use Kredivo, users need to meet certain criteria, such as being a minimum age, having a valid ID, and providing proof of income.

  5. Convenience: Kredivo offers a seamless payment process, often integrating directly with online and physical retailers, making it a convenient option for users who prefer to defer payment.

  6. Credit Score Impact: Using Kredivo responsibly can help users build their credit score, but late payments or defaults can negatively affect their credit rating.


As a strategic step to enhance the usage of Kredivo's payment feature, we will design mockups that highlight the promotion and integration of this feature on every crucial page of our platform. The primary focus of this design is to ensure that Kredivo's promotional placement is attractive and easily accessible to users at critical points in their journey on the website or app, such as the product page, checkout page, and special offer areas.

Ideation and conceptualization

Insights from research revealed that users often struggle with understanding payment breakdowns, leading to cart abandonment. To address this, the team focused on designing an intuitive and transparent simulation tool that simplifies installment comparisons. Multiple design iterations, from wireframes to interactive prototypes, were explored to optimize clarity, ensuring users could easily comprehend their financial commitments.



This placement strategy is designed to ensure that Kredivo's payment feature is visible and easily accessible to users at key points throughout their shopping experience.

  1. Homepage

    Slider text promotion: Display Kredivo promotion in the slider text section on the homepage.


  2. Footer

    Payment option: Add Kredivo as a payment option in the website footer.


  3. Product List Page (PLP)

    Banner: Place a Kredivo promotional banner on the product list page.


  4. Product Display Page (PDP)

    Tag section: Include a tag section highlighting Kredivo on the product display page.


  5. Cart Page

    Payment option: Integrate Kredivo as a payment option on the cart page.


  6. Checkout Page

    Payment method: Incorporate Kredivo as a payment method, including the paylater feature, on the checkout page.

Design solution process

The UI was designed to align with the premium branding of Coach and Kate Spade, while also maintaining the family-friendly and trustworthy aesthetic required for Mothercare. Usability testing validated the enhancements, leading to refinements that improved the overall checkout experience.


A high-fidelity prototype was created in Figma, featuring:
✅ A dynamic installment calculator with real-time payment breakdowns.
✅ A seamless selection process for different installment plans.
✅ Clear descriptions of loan terms and interest rates.


Key Achievements, Impact & documentation

After submitting the Collaboration Proposal to Kredivo, which included mockups of promotion placement and functions, we received approval from them. Next, the design can be implemented on the proposed brand websites and all Kanmo Brands. Subsequently, it will be implemented into the Mobile Apps for payment method options.


The redesigned installment simulation contributed to:
🚀 Higher conversion rates for Kredivo transactions across Coach, Kate Spade, and Mothercare stores.
📉 A reduction in customer support inquiries related to payment breakdowns.
💡 A smoother e-commerce checkout experience, particularly for first-time installment users.



A comprehensive design handover was documented to ensure seamless implementation, providing developers with a well-structured design system. The project successfully supported Kredivo’s mission to make premium and essential brand purchases more accessible through flexible payment options.
